Saving Childrens Lives

For almost a quarter of a century doctors in Israel have been working on a very special programme to save the lives of thousands of children suffering from life threatening heart conditions.

Save a Childs Heart (SACH) is an Israeli-based international humanitarian charity situated at Wolfson Medical Center, providing life-saving heart treatment and follow-up care for children from developing countries regardless of their religion, gender or nationality.

Save a Childs Heart trains medical personnel from partner sites from around the world in all facets of pediatric cardiac care. Over 120 medical team members from all over the world have been trained by Save a Childs Heart at Wolfson Medical Center in Israel.

Mending hearts

Every day a child from a developing country is saved at Wolfson Medical Center in Holon, Israel, where the Save a Childs Heart medical facilities are based. Thousands of children from developing countries are alive today because of a small group of medical professionals who volunteer their time and expertise to perform cardiac treatment and train medical personnel.

Medical Missions

Save a Childs Heart was founded in 1995 and holds pre-operative and follow up cardiology clinics in Israel and abroad on a weekly basis, offers a comprehensive training programme Israel for doctors and nurses from developing countries and leads surgical and teaching missions to partner countries.

The organisation saves lives by improving the quality and accessibility of cardiac care for children. Through their programmes in Israel they provide life-saving cardiac treatment to children from developing countries and train healthcare professionals from these countries to have the skills to deliver quality care in their home communities.

They also send medical teams to partner sites around the world in order to diagnose, teach and perform life-saving heart treatments.

Save a Childs Heart is an international nonprofit organization with the mission of improving the quality of pediatric cardiac care for children in developing countries and creating centers of competence in these countries. Their goal is to improve the health and welfare of all children, regardless of religion, gender or nationality.

To date, Save a Child's Heart has saved the lives of more than 5,000 children from 59 countries in Africa, South America, Europe, Asia, and throughout the Middle East and trained more than 120 medical team members from these countries.
