The main thrust of our work is providing humanitarian aid to people in need in Israel and the Middle East. We send out containers filled with clothes and household items designed to ease the financial burdens of impoverished people. We collect brand new goods from manufacturers and retailers in Britain and ship them out to the Middle East in large containers. The goods we send include clothes for all ages, footwear, baby products and a whole variety of household items.
Just recently a container of aid arrived in Israel and the contents were distributed to people throughtout the length and breadth of the country.
Once the container arrives a local aid agency manages the distribution. Volunteers arrive early in the morning and swiftly unload the container. These volunteers are frequently people who have immigrated from Eastern Europe and they are happy to help out with this provision of aid which also benefits their communities. They clear the container before going off to their own places of work. The goods are then shared between various distribution centres in the south and north of Israel.
